Pyramid Profiles breaks into aluminium market

After 15 successful years fabricating and supplying PVCu frames, Midlands -based Pyramid Profiles has added a new range of aluminium windows and doors to its product portfolio.

The company has chosen to manufacture the highly rated Beaufort range from Blyweert Beaufort Aluminium.

Explaining the decision to diversify into aluminium products, Pyramid Profiles MD Paul Bailey said: “We recently made a substantial investment into our business by purchasing additional factory units and upgrading our fabrication machinery. This has provided us with enough additional capacity to add a dedicated aluminium production facility.”

Paul continues: “After contacting several aluminium systems companies, we decided that Blyweert Beaufort Aluminium was the best partner to take us forward. It is our ambition to become a major player in this market.”

“Having made the commitment to begin fabricating aluminium, we purchased specialist fabrication machinery and began a comprehensive training programme for our staff, “said Paul. “We don’t believe a venture like this can be taken lightly or done in half measures. We are applying all of our fabrication expertise into ensuring that we produce top quality windows and doors, and offer all customers competitive prices coupled with first class service.  After researching the market it is evident that we will gain a considerable advantage by keeping some RAL colours in stock which it seems some of our competitors are either unwilling or unable to do.”

Danny Hague, National Sales Manager at Pyramid said: “To some, the aluminium market may seem a little crowded but we see it as an exciting opportunity. We have a very loyal customer base and when we spoke to them we were very surprised to learn just how much volume they were buying from other aluminium fabricators. We were constantly being asked if we could provide aluminium as well as PVCu. We knew the demand was there and with Pyramid signing up over 40 new accounts over the summer, we’re looking at some very exciting times ahead.”

He continues:” We begin manufacturing in January and customers are already placing orders. We expect high demand for the Beaufort Folding Sliding Door which, I believe, is the best in the market. We realise that trading conditions are challenging, that’s why we plan to hold high levels of stock and a range of colours, to give our customers an edge.”

Danny Hague has joined Brownhills-based Pyramid Profiles as head of sales.

Pyramid Profiles manufacture Synseal Shield and Synerjy window systems and also offer a wide range of other products and services including Global Roofs and all Artizan colour ranges.
